What You Will Learn

The Hair Design program combines key parts of cosmetology and barbering, including haircutting (scissors, clippers, and razor), hairstyling, hair coloring, chemical relaxers and permanent waving, as well as hot towel shaves and beard design. This license allows you to work with all the different techniques and services related to hair.

Our Hair Design course focuses on haircutting, coloring, chemical treatments, and more. You will start in the classroom learning the basics. To build confidence, your first haircuts will be on mannequins. Then you will move on to color, chemical processing, and more. You will gain valuable experience working with real clients in our on-campus salon.

Turno Matutino: Morning Shift: 26 hours per week

Tuesday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Program Length: 51 weeks / 13 months

Evening Shift: 22 hours per week

Tuesday to Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Program Length: 60 weeks / 15 months

Requirements

  • Copy of high school diploma, transcript, college diploma, or GED.
  • Foreign diplomas must include verification from a qualified external agency that confirms equivalency to a recognized U.S. high school diploma, or proof of exceeding compulsory school attendance age.
  • Consult the admissions advisor for evaluation options.
  • Proof of age (driver’s license, passport, or birth certificate with photo ID).
  • Social Security Number.
  • Schedule an appointment to register for the program.
  • If under 18, a parent/legal guardian must sign the enrollment contract along with the student.
