PROGRAM
The “On the Job” Instructor programs are designed for licensed professionals with at least one month of experience. These programs allow participants to practice and learn from day-to-day work in the field, meaning they will work at the academy providing instruction while gaining the necessary experience to develop as instructors of apprentices or within an academy.
Requirements
Read and understand the Milady Instructor book, as well as purchase the Milady Textbook and Exam Review of Milady Instructor book.
(This is not a regular instruction course; it is self-study combined with supervised practice, indirectly guided by another instructor, while also receiving compensation for your work.)
The professional commits to these terms and to independently preparing for the Utah State theoretical exam, in addition to covering and scheduling said exam. At the end of the established hours, the Academy is responsible for issuing verification of practice completed at the institution, which is required to obtain the instructor’s license in the State of Utah.

Available Schedules
Part-Time – Morning Shift:
- Tuesday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 1:30 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (2 Saturdays per month))
Part-Time – Evening Shift:
- Tuesday to Friday: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM
- Saturday: 9:00 AM – 3:30 PM (2 Saturdays per month only))
All On the Job Instructor Programs require a $1,000 registration fee.
